Prof (Dr) Ajay Kumar
Dr. Ajay Kumar is a seasoned academician and academic leader with over twenty-seven years of rich teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, he currently serves as the Dean of Graduate Outcomes, where he focuses on aligning academic learning with industry relevance and student success.
An Electronics Engineering graduate, Dr. Kumar pursued advanced research in Nanoelectronics and earned his Ph.D. from Sikkim Manipal University in 2010. He has an impressive research profile, with over 60 publications in reputed national and international journals, and is the co-author of a widely used textbook, Basic Electronics for Engineering Students, published by New Age Publications, New Delhi. He has successfully completed an AICTE-sponsored research project and guided seven Ph.D. scholars to completion.
Associated with Manipal University Jaipur since its inception in 2011, Dr. Kumar has played a pivotal role in its academic growth. His prior experience includes service at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Over the years, he has held several key academic and administrative roles, including Director (Academics), Head of Department, and Chief Warden, contributing significantly to institutional development and governance.
