Priyadarshini Mishra is a multifaceted theatre artist, director, writer, and educator with over 22 years of expertise in the performing arts. Her journey in theatre began in 2001 at Maharani College, Jaipur, where she pursued dramatic arts. By 2002, she had already penned her first short play, “Sapno Ka Rajkumar”, and performed under the guidance of renowned theatre mentor Sartaj Narayan Ji in the play “Buniyaad”.
A trailblazer in her field, Priyadarshini holds the distinction of being the first woman from Rajasthan to qualify the UGC NET in Dramatic Arts (2014) and is a gold medalist in Drama from Rajasthan University (2004). She is a recipient of the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (2023) by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Her achievements include designing a theatre module for art-integrated education for NCERT, crafting theatre curricula with TIE expert Gagan Mishra, and delivering impactful performances and presentations on topics like Theatre in Education and Vachik Abhinay in eight international and national conferences.
As a director, she has been honored with the Best Director Award by Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai (2009) and celebrated as the Best Actress of Jaipur by Jaipur Film World (2017). Additionally, she was awarded the Yuva Lekhak Puraskar by the Rajasthan Government for her contributions to literature and theatre.
With her extensive experience in acting, backstage design, music, and direction, Priyadarshini Mishra continues to inspire and innovate in the world of theatre and education, making her a true luminary in the arts.
