Prabodh Kumar Govil Born in 1953, in Aligarh, UP, Prabodh Kumar Govil has been a Professor in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Director in Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University, Jaipur. A prolific writer that he is, he has written books in almost all genres of literature and his many of books got translated in English, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Telagu, Odiya, Bengali, et al. Many of his writings have been broadcast / telecast on Aakashvani / Doordarshan.
Govil’s outstanding contribution has earned him the Sahitya Academy Award for translation; Sur Award of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Institute; Bal Sahitya Manishi Award of Rajasthan Children's Sahitya Academy; Rajasthan Sahitya Academy's Devi Lal Samar Award; Rajasthan Patrika's Creative Literature Award, Jodhpur's State Level Guleri Samman and many more.
Talking about his story ‘Wait a Minute’ (थोड़ी देर और ठहर), Govil says, “The unavoidable and irresistible difference between any two cultures has, from times immemorial, been building castles of curiosity in human mind. It is that which still continues to inspire the creation of great literature, particularly fiction. And it is that which is in the center of my story ‘Wait a Minute’. ‘
