Dr. Durgaprasad Agrawal is a distinguished academic and literary figure who served in Rajasthan's College Education Service from July 7, 1967, to November 30, 2003. During his illustrious career, he held various roles, including Lecturer, Vice Principal, Principal, and Joint Director at the Directorate of College Education, Rajasthan, Jaipur. With a deep passion for Hindi literary criticism, Dr. Agrawal is an accomplished writer who has contributed extensively to leading national magazines, newspapers, and digital platforms. He has also translated numerous works from English to Hindi, including Chehre aur Chitthiyan, the Hindi version of Natwar Singh's Profiles and Letters, which received widespread acclaim. Dr. Agrawal's literary repertoire includes over a dozen published books. His notable works include Aankhon Dekhi (based on his experiences in the USA), which won the Kanhaiya Lal Sahal Award from the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi, Desh-Paradesh, Samaj Ka Aaj, and Adhi Abadi Ke Qisse, a unique book focused on women. His recent works, Jo Desh Hum Bana Rahe Hain, Samay Ki Panchayat, and Sachet Ka Sady, delve into contemporary issues and have garnered critical appreciation. Apart from his literary pursuits, Dr. Agrawal is an active participant in seminars, workshops, and conferences on literature and mass communication. He also has a strong inclination towards teaching, cinema, music, photography, broadcasting, and modern technology. Dr. Agrawal has been closely associated with the Jaipur International Film Festival and previously led the Sirohi Film Society for a decade. He has also contributed extensively to journalism, writing regular columns in esteemed publications such as Rajasthan Patrika, Dainik Bhaskar, and Rashtradoot, among others. Currently residing in Jaipur, Dr. Agrawal continues to engage in reading, writing, and blogging through Jog Likhi (dpagrawal.blogspot.com). He remains a prominent voice in Rajasthan's literary and cultural landscape.
