Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore is a transformational force in Indian higher education and widely regarded as the architect and pioneer of modern agricultural education in India. An eminent academic with an M.Tech from IIT Delhi and a Ph.D., his leadership has shaped institutions, policies, and generations of agri-professionals across the country.

He has served as Vice Chancellor of MPUAT Udaipur, MLSU Udaipur, and GGTU Banswara, and made history as the Founder Vice Chancellor of Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University (SKNAU), Jobner, laying its academic, research, and extension foundations from the ground up. At the national level, his impact expanded through ICAR, New Delhi, where he held key roles as Deputy Director General (Engineering & Education) and as National Director of the World Bank–supported NAHEP project, a milestone initiative that redefined agricultural education quality in India.

Beyond academia, Dr. Rathore has contributed to governance and policy as Lokpal, RAJUVAS Bikaner, and as a member of the Rajasthan State Farmers Debt Relief Commission.
