Lokesh Kumar Singh ‘Sahil’

Poet
Lokesh Kumar Singh 'Sahil' is a poet deeply rooted in the essence of the people, earning his place as a torchbearer of authentic literary traditions. Associated with over 25 organizations and with more than 2,000 appearances in Kavi Sammelans and Mushairas, Sahil is on a mission to revive the pure oral traditions of literary poetry on stage. For him, the stage is not a platform for cheap humor but a sacred space for meaningful and impactful words. Born into a royal family in Chandausi, Uttar Pradesh, Sahil has mastered the craft of structured poetry through rigorous practice. His versatility spans across traditional poetic forms, including dohas, maahiyas, ghazals, geets, kundaliyas, and free verse. His works are celebrated for their linguistic elegance and rich depth, often bridging the gap between published poetry and live recitations. Sahil’s first ghazal collection, "Dariya Mein Majhdhaar Bahut Hai", was introduced with forewords by the legendary poet Gopaldas 'Neeraj' and former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar. In 2018, his 101-ghazal anthology "Tuk" received critical acclaim, with endorsements from literary stalwarts like Vijay Bahadur Singh, Sheen Kaaf Nizam, Krishna Kalpit, and Ali Ahmed Fatmi. The collection saw two editions, cementing Sahil’s place in contemporary poetry. Continuing his creative journey, Sahil released "Dhun", a collection of 101 songs in 2024, with forewords by renowned figures including Dr. Hetu Bhardwaj and Rajeshwar Singh. His upcoming anthology "Toot", featuring 101 free-verse poems, promises to be another milestone. Awarded the prestigious "Mahakavi Bihari Puraskar" by Mitra Parishad, Jaipur, in 2007, Sahil became one of the early recipients of this ₹1 lakh honor. His works carry the unique hallmark of blending traditional ghazal styles with contemporary sensibilities, raising pertinent questions, registering necessary dissent, and championing life. Sahil’s poetry is not just about the craft; it’s a movement—a bridge between the classical and the modern, between the written word and the spoken soul.

कवि बनाम कोडिंग: क्या भावनाएँ भी ऑटोमेट होंगी?

What happens when words no longer rise from the human soul, but are generated by algorithms?
This talk show confronts a disturbing yet unavoidable question: Can love, pain, rebellion, and empathy be programmed?

This is not merely a discussion on AI or literature—it is an exploration of the moment where human creativity risks being reduced to data. When machines begin to write poetry, who owns emotion? Who defines originality? And more importantly, what remains uniquely human?

Bringing poets, writers, technologists, and thinkers face-to-face, this session challenges comfort zones and exposes uncomfortable truths about our future.
If you want to merely watch the future unfold, stay home.
If you want to question it, understand it, and shape it, this is a conversation worth paying for.
