Prof Sandeep Sancheti
Professor Sandeep Sancheti is a distinguished academic leader, institution builder, and policy strategist with an exceptional track record in shaping India’s higher education ecosystem. He holds a Ph.D. from Queen’s University Belfast (UK), an M.Sc. from DTU Delhi, and a B.Tech from NIT Warangal. Currently, he serves as Vice President – Research Relations & Academic Ambassador at Elsevier India, where he actively bridges global research, policy, and academic practice.
Professor Sancheti has served in diverse leadership and advisory roles across premier national and international bodies, including FICCI, CII, EPSI, NAAC, NBA, AICTE, UGC, DST, CSIR, DRDO, and ACU, among many others. He has been a Board and Senate member of several institutions, including IISc Bengaluru, and a member of multiple national-level committees of the Ministry of Education.
Formerly, he led seven National Institutes of Technology as Director, served as Vice Chancellor of SRMIST Chennai, President of Manipal University Jaipur, and Provost of Marwadi University. A Commonwealth Scholar and former Visiting Faculty at AIT Bangkok, he has also addressed Members of Parliament on critical educational issues, contributing significantly to policy and institutional reform in India.
